THESE ARE THE SOCCER RULES.

Soccer (football) is one of the world’s most popular and oldest sports. The World Cup is the
most prestigious sporting event on the planet. The European Championships, Copa America,
and the African Cup of Nations are among the other tournaments. The most powerful domestic
leagues are the English Premier League, Spain’s La Liga, Italy’s Serie A, and Germany’s
Bundesliga (Bundesliga). Football is the name given to the sport in many parts of the world.

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME

The goal of a 90-minute football game is to score more goals than the opposing team. There are
two 45-minute halves to the game. The players are given a 15-minute half-time break after the
first 45 minutes of play. The referee’s discretionary time (injury time) is added to the remaining
45 minutes.

THE PARTICIPANTS AND THEIR EQUIPMENT

Each team is made up of 11 players. A goaltender and eleven outfielders make up this squad.
The pitch’s length and breadth vary by area, but they are normally 120 metres long and 75
metres wide. A 6 yard box will be near the target mouth, surrounded by an 18 yard box, with a
centre circle at each pitch. In terms of dimension, one side of the pitch must be a mirror image
of the other.

Only two pieces of equipment are required for a football game: a pitch and a ball. The athletes
are also shown a pair of sporty studded soccer shoes, leg protection, and matching shorts.
Because goalkeepers are the only players allowed to handle the ball, they will also wear padded
gloves. Each group has a captain in command.

THERE ARE POINTS HELD.

To score, the ball must enter your opponent’s goal. To be considered a legitimate goal, the
entire ball must cross the goal line. Not just the hand and arm up to the shoulder can score, but
any part of the body can. An 8-foot-high, 8-yard-wide frame makes up the goal.

THE SUCCESS OF THE GAME

You must score more goals than your opponents in order to win. Except in cup tournaments,
where if the points are level after 90 minutes, the game can go to overtime or even a penalty
shootout to decide the winner, the game ends in a tie. With the exception of goalkeepers, who
may use any part of their body within the 18 yard box, players must kick the ball with their feet
and may not use their hands (more of which can be found in the next section).

THE OFFSIDE RULE IS A FOOTBALL REGULATION.

When a pass is passed through Ugh to an attacking player who is ahead of the last defender,
offside can be called. The offside zone is intended to prevent players from just waiting for a
pass near the opponent’s goal. To be in position when the ball is played for them, they must be
located behind the last defender. Offside is declared when a player is in front of the final
defender, and the other team is awarded a free kick.

In his or her own half, a player can’t be caught offside. The goalkeeper is not considered a
defender. The player is not considered offside if the ball is played backwards and he is in front
